Jeremy Hartshorn is a self taught multi-instrumentalist, a published singer/songwriter, producer, audio engineer, music instructor and the creator of Bandwagon Studios.  He serves as the director of Bandwagon Studios and specializes in band coaching, artist development, songwriting and advanced audio production.

Jeremy is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. He plays guitar, ukulele, bass, drums, banjo and beginning piano and has self-produced four of his own studio albums as well as a large number of projects for others including award winning tracks for the Kauai-based group Paradox Lockdown. Tracks that Jeremy has produced have received regular airplay on Kong 93.5 FM & Rooster 99.9 FM.

Jeremy started playing guitar at age 17 just before heading to college at Vanguard University of Southern California. He wrote his first song early in his freshman year there. By age 19, he had already recorded his first collection of songs with his first band Carousel and produced his first concert Lobbypalooza, an event which went on to become an annual institution for the next decade.

During college, Jeremy took many musically oriented courses that tackled subjects like music appreciation and audio & video production.  During this time, he gained extensive experience performing live in various school related functions including on-campus concerts and chapels. Shortly after graduating from Vanguard with a Bachelor of Communications degree, he created his first studio in Santa Ana, CA and began formally teaching guitar lessons. Due to his unique approach and large network, Jeremy’s roster quickly grew until he was able to quit his “day job”  as a school bus driver and go full-time as a music instructor. During this time Jeremy self-produced his first full length album “Anything But Fear”  for his band Kendall.

In 2005, Jeremy and his family moved to Kauai following the birth of their 1st child. In 2007, he began volunteering as a worship leader at Kauai Christian Fellowship. A short time later he released the first of a series of worship albums which have been very well-recieved. This lead to a series of tours across the mainland and a publishing deal with industry veteran Cam Floria (The Continentals) as well as inclusion in the Interlinc’s widely released YLO Youth Resource Kit along with Owl City and TobyMac . Some of Jeremy’s songs have escaped into the world and are being sung in churches in the UK, Germany, Spain and across the US.

During this period, Jeremy was officially brought on staff at Kauai Christian Fellowship as a music director and was tasked to direct the churches wildly successful annual music camp Rock U. Under Jeremy’s leadership, the event has helped hundreds of kids get started on their musical journey.

In 2012, Jeremy launched Bandwagon Studios, a perfect marriage of his experience as a music instructor and as a school bus driver. Demand for the Bandwagon skyrocketed immediately and as second bus was added within 4 months of the initial launch. So far Bandwagon gained attention both locally (Garden Island News, Documentary film) and nationally (Christian Musician Magazine). Each week, Jeremy and his team teach over 125 kids how to play drums, bass, guitar, piano, ukulele & more. He continues to work as an music instructor, producer and engineer, worship leader touring musician and musical mentor for many kids on Kauai. He has the best job in the world.

He lives in Kapaa with his amazing wife Julie and 3 kids, Emily (7), Ethan (3) & Shep (3).
